This is kind of based on a scene from Father Ted. Now, while =Veggie55 was probably a toddler when I first watched this program, Father Ted and ponies is sorta his thing. So his stuff probably put the idea in my head.
I like the broken perspective in the last panel. Pinkie Pie's feet are placed slightly higher than Twilight's to indicate that she's further away, yet her head is above Twilight's which seems very off for the same reason. It's like Pinkie Pie is beyond perspective and can break it at will.
twilight does know pinkie would grab the 2 in back and put them side by side with the CMC and they'd be the same size as they are now. its pinkie her take on reality isn't the same thus the laws of physics don't apply to her.
and am i the only one terrified by the thought of the CMC being CSI agents?
Just the vague beginnings of one... I am hampered by the fact I've not seen CSI in over 3 years, so I forget the main character personalities...
The place that we would need to start would be the crime... Something plausible for the pony universe that they would think as heinous... But it would be completely inconsequential to humans. That dichotomy in perception would be the underpinnings of a funny comic... That's why MMMystery was so funny (of course, it also had pinky and the brain dynamic going too)
Once we have that, the rest will be much easier. CMC antics aren't too hard to come up with, just mix one part extreme enthusiasm with one part complete ignorance, and sprinkle in some tree sap for flavoring.
Maybe you can put this up in a journal and see what your fans come up with. A lot of the people who have given me ideas in the past commented on your last journal
Sounds like a plan. I've never really watched much CSI either, just enough to pick up on the tropes that come from it. The terrible terrible treatment of anything scientific on the program just makes me twitch.
I really want to give Scoot a *push sunglasses back onto nose while making sweeping comment* moment.
Well in the original scene the idea is that one of the characters is too stupid to understand that things look smaller when they're further away. In a 2D comic or cartoon though, there is no perspective, and of course Pinkie is the only one who knows she's in a cartoon...
